Questionairres
- These showed me people's favourite way to consume music videos and where they did this, allowing me to understand where I should be aiming for.
- They also showed me people's favourite genre of music and the videos they thought to be the best out currently.
- I also learnt what consumers find pleasing to the eye for album covers as well as for the adverts in the magazine.
- I now know the amount of information consumers want on their adverts advertising the new album.
Artefacts
- I was able to see how other alternative artists' music videos are put together. This therefore gave me ideas for my own video.
- I found that there are ways of making a music video simply however effectively as long as it fits well with the style of the song.
- I now know more techniques than I did previously that I could encooperate into my music video.
Focus Group
- I was able to hear views from other people as well as my own analysis on a music video, this helped as different peoples opinions vary.
- I could pick up on more criticisms than just my own and things to remember when making my own music video.
Product Placement
- I found out that channel AKA was the most popular music channel amongst those I asked, therefore meaning this is a channel I would want to used amogst the music channels.
- Youtube is a very popular way for consumers to view music videos and it is at no cost therefore a successful method of promoting the artist, their song as well as album.
